My Story

Professional Summary

An advocate of data science with experience in data analysis since 2013 who passionately believes in applying knowledge to creatively solve problems using science and technology. She holds two PhDs earned through a joint PhD program in Computer Science and Signal Processing from Arts et Métiers ParisTech and Electrical & Electronics Engineering from UTP.

Currently, she works as a Data Science Consultant, providing coaching and consultation on exploratory data analysis, research question formulation, problem identification, effective result communication and data-driven solution to address client’s business challenges.

She had experience working locally (MNC, GLC and government agency) and internationally (UK, France, and Australia) with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams where she established her interpersonal skills and solid background in STEM fields. She has a strong understanding of advanced statistics and machine learning, with extensive hands-on experience in clustering analysis, factorial analysis, AB testing, classification ML model and its various aspects on physiological data, driving data, questionnaires, manufacturing data, hospital admission data, and retail convenience chain data.

As a mediator and visionary individual, she is also equipped with a keen understanding of the intricacies and nuances of business operations, honed through ownership of an enterprise, thus possess a unique perspective that enables her to effectively relate to her clients’ business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Exploring the ins and outs of business utilizing the leading online marketplace in Malaysia (Shopee & Lazada).
  • Adopting data-driven approach in business decisions for optimizing resources and maximizing profit.
• Graduate Research Assistant| Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Jan 2015 – Dec 2017)
  • 18 months research attachment at Institut Image, France (ENSAM – Renault joint laboratory).
  • Design and develop an experiment for driving research in virtual reality environment in collaboration with 2 master students from the School of Psychology, University of Burgundy.
  • Design and develop 2 experiments related to driving distractions, utilizing readily available equipment, contributes to minimal research cost.
• Research Assistant | Universiti Malaya (Aug 2013 – Oct 2014)
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills in hosting an international conference (IFESS 2014) with committees from 6 universities and local hospitals, attended by participants from 18 countries, including Japan, Korea, Australia, Germany, China, Spain, Austria, Iran, India, France, the US and the UK.
  • 3 months research attachment at Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Sydney for research collaboration on development of FES Rowing system for spinal cord injury patients, producing 2 publications.
• Executive Assistant | Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Dec 2009 – Apr 2012)
  • Self-driven and experience in being part of a team who executed various multifaceted projects of human capital action plan as part of GLC Transformation Programme, with allocated budget ranging from RM 300k to RM1mil.
  • 6 months secondment to Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad as part of Malaysian Talent Development department in implementing projects for fresh graduates.
